So I think Im just going to start going by Sister Rez...that’s what sister Chee calls me now.

This week was super windy...so windy that sister Johnson broke the truck door...like the hinge snapped....then the next day, my side broke!!! Haha yeah...we need to get them fixed asap! And then on top of that our windows stopped working too...Our poor truck is falling apart on us!! Sad thing is its a 2013 and we are wrecking it...

Last Monday was awesome!!! In the morning we helped sister Chee build a goat house. It was a little scary at first because she didnt seem too confident at working the saw...but she eventually got it to work and Im still alive so thats good!! Haha. After we finished with that we went with our Elders to Ganado to go on a hike to some old ruins! Just getting there was a trek. We all drove our trucks up through the canyon and boy the scenery is BEAUTIFUL! The hike wasnt bad at all, but the rock is super flaky and like none of it is actually in the ground just on top, so if you step on a loose one you slide a little. Supposedly (legend has itwhen you go into the ruins your growth gets stunted...so I'll be short forever now! Ha, ha! We stayed up there ALL day, like right up til dinner...but, it was way worth it!

The rest of the week was normal. We did a lot of inviting people to conference! I taught the Law of Chasity for the first time....and it went super good!! Then later that week I taught it again...to a grandma and a 15 and 9 year old...it went good too!! Seriously, teaching the Law of Chasity is not bad at all!

We got dropped again...through a text!!!! But its ok! because we will just work harder!!

Conference weekend is the best weekend!!! Since I still have to do 12 week and language study, we were only able to go out for 2 hours and one of those hours was dinner! The other hour we went around to everyone we knew and left them with sticky notes about conference. Roberta came to the Sunday session...but Lorinda (a lady that the missionaries had been working with for sometime) came to BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!!!! She came to EVERY SINGLE SESSION!!!!! it was seriously a miracle!!!! And she loved it!!!

Sunday morning during comp study I was looking out our window and I saw a COW!!! She was just chomping on our grass...or weeds...I don’t really know what our yard has. So being crazy, sister Johnson and I ran outside and tried to take pictures with it, but she took off running...and we chased after her!!! I really wish I would have recorded it, but I wasnt thinking! Sister Johnson and I are determined to get some rope and learn how to rope stuff! So next time we have a cow in our yard we can catch it!!! Haha!!

Hope everyone is doing great!! You are always in my prayers!!! and TE AMO!!!!!!!!!!!

Week 12

What a week!!!

I seriously don’t have bad days here...there is always something that just makes me happy and makes me love being out on a mission even more!!!

This week was a pretty big week since it was transfers. The Elders in our ward, and us are super close. So Monday we all hung out together. We all played basketball, went to get Chinese for lunch, went to the zoo and then did this awesomely crazy hike up to a crater! After all that they asked for some cookies...so being the sweet sisters that we are we made all 10 elders chocolate chip cookies! I was so exhausted after that day and I couldnt wait to go to bed!! But it was a day well spent before we lost Elder V and Johnson and Nelson. We met the two new Elders in Sister Johnson’s and my district this past Thursday. One is practically finished with his mission...and he's awesome!! Our district already seems like its going to be close! We had lunch together after the zone training!

So, Sister Johnson and I got super close this week. I cant remember what day it was, but we had a really awesome lesson with this inactive mom and daughter. Well, I told them some stuff and I cried, and yeah. Well, Ididn’t realize it, but talking about home made me super home sick...I sorta cried that night. I was trying to be allquiet and not wake up Sister Johnson, but she heard me!!! She came over to my bed and asked if I was ok and of course I couldn’t answer in a non-cryish voice! She lay down next to me and we talked till like 10:30 about funny stuff. I'm glad she did that because it helped a ton!! And yeah, yeah I know I’m not supposed to talk about the sad stuff, but whatever...it was a touching moment and I want to share it!!

The last two days this week were really rough....but like I said I looked for the good in each day!! But we literally didn’t have a single lesson!!! And we got dropped...twice....but it was all good because we went to the bishops for dinner and they had Navajo burgers!! And fry bread always makes a bad day better!!!

We had a super cool experience yesterday...and so I'll end with it. So, we went and saw Winona and Michelle, who are active, but have been going through some hard stuff. We didn’t have a lesson planned for them and I was sorta getting nervous because small talk only lasts so long!!!!! But then, I had a thought come into my head and remembered that I had some family history books in my bag. At first I was like, "How am I supposed to make a lesson out of that!?" But hey when the spirit prompts you...you don’t ask questions. So I pulled out the little booklet and started talking about Family history I had no clue where it was going to go...butit ended up being an awesome lesson!!! Michelle said she had been thinking about starting the work for her uncle and other family members and she was wondering how to do stuff...We told her about the lady in the ward who could help her and when the family history center is open. But thats not all....the lesson opened up the flood gates to what she was really dealing with! And so we helped Michelle with those things. Its really awesome when you follow the spirit, because without it we are seriously nothing!! And we helped this family out a ton because we followed the spirit! Ahhhh, it just made me so happy that we were able to find out what was really going on with them and now we can better help them!!!

lastly...here is my theme scripture: Ether 12:4--look it up!!

(note: here it is for those who won’t be able to look it up… “4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, makethan anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.”)

Eu amo voces!!!!!

Week 11

I'M STILL ON THE REZ FOR ANOTHER 6 WEEKS!!!!! I'm actually really excited that I got to stay here!!! Iwasn’t ready to leave yet! And this transfer, Sister Johnson and I are going to do some great things!!

So this week was full of exciting stuff...I almost want to start off with telling you about Saturday...but I think I will save it till the end!!

For p-day last Monday, Sister Johnson and I went to the zoo! It was...pretty cool....there is like nothing there.LOL, all the animals are just the ones native to the rez. So, there was a bob cat and a bear and coyotes. And then it was super windy, so we came out with a layer of dirt on us. Sister Johnson kept saying she was so tan...then she wiped her face and her tanness was all gone! Thats about the only excitement we had on Monday.

I got to hold my first baby goat, Sister Chee named it Skunk and it really lived up to its name!

Tuesday was a super good day! We had a ward activity and about 12 people (mainly investigators) showed up!! We played kickball and ate hotdogs. We want to try to do it again and hopefully this time we will have a ton more people come out!

We got to see Roberta twice this week!! She's doing super good! And she really opened up with us on our last visit! She told us that her daughters were baptized!!! And she's really excited to be getting baptized. She came to church too! And after sacrament she just walked off to her class! She doesn’t even need us at church to show her around! After Sunday school she came and told me she needed the Bible, D&C, and Pearl of Great Price...I told her she doesn’t really need to get those until after she gets baptized! Ha! But, the best thing she said thisweek was when we were talking about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She was like, "I haven't been dipped yet!" Sister Johnson and I tried so hard not to laugh! We love Roberta!! Oh yeah! ON Sunday she said she loved us!!!!! It made me so HAPPY!!!!

Sister Johnson and I had to drop 2 of our investigators....the other sisters had been teaching them for forever and not once had they been to church! Before we did it we role played it...and we were so scared!!!! When it came time to actually do it...it went pretty good and they understood why we couldnt come by anymore. As a result from that...we got two new investigators!!!! Daylene and Laura!!! They are both super awesome and super excited about learning more!!! We are going to see Daylene this week and hopefully she's been reading the Book of Mormon. As for Laura...we saw her like 3 days in a row. The 3rd time we saw her she still hadn't read the B oM, so I told her we couldnt have a lesson because she didn’t keep her commitment. We explained why commitments are so important and she seemed to get it and she promised us she would read. We were supposed to see her yesterday, but she called and canceled. We will probably swing by her place tomorrow!!! But yeah, the Lord really does bless you when you drop someone and find people who are ready for the gospel!

A lot of the times our appointments fall through. People don’t understand that when they set an appointment they have to remember to keep it!! Well we had a day where EVERYTHING fell through...and so we were at the end of this driveway and we had no clue what to do! So we said a pray and not 2 seconds after we said amen our phone rang!!! It was one of our less actives and she had a relapse...sowe rushed over to her and just sat wither while she cried. It was sad, but we were glad we could be there for her. Then she had to do some work around the house, but before we left I told her "let’s say a prayer and you can give me your cigarettes. She wasnt too sure, but in the end she gave me her pack...along with some other stuff...and we said a prayer. We chucked her stuff and then headed to dinner. The next day she called us to let us know that her paper work got approved and she would be getting into a program for help!!! It was a cool experience in that Heavenly Father seriously answers our prayers!!!

Saturday was pretty epic! Once again no one was home so we parked our truck on the 12 and walked down to Lagoon Road so we could save miles. Well no one on Lagoon was home either, so we had the bright idea to walk to our next appointment...all the way in Tse Bonito! One hour later we got there with enough time to set a return appointment...by then my feet were killing me!!! We had done so much walking that we had actually walked to the New Mexico border! And little did I know that I had 4 huge blisters!! 2 huge ones that covered my WHOLE heel! We had to walk back to our truck...I kept praying that a member would drive by and give us a ride...we almost got back to the 12 when we saw a little white car waiting for us! I was like, is that Roberta!!?!?!? Once we got closer to her car we saw...IT WAS ROBERTA!!!!!! She seriously saved my feet! She dropped us off at our car and then we went on to go contact a few people before we went to lunch at the stake presidents house. That was the best lunch I have ever had!!! I ate two steaks and watermelon! It was much needed after walking for like 2 hours of the day and killing my feet. I now walk like an old shama and I hate wearing shoes! But I got to get ready for Brazil when I wont have a car...

I cant wait to see what the next six weeks bring!!! Sister Johnson and I are going to slay St. Mikes!!!!!!!

Te amo!!!!
